MTHR TNG is a heritage language learning app that helps diaspora families learn, practise, and share their ancestral languages. We currently offer Esan, with more languages coming soon.
By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use MTHR TNG.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may create up to 5 learner profiles under a single account, including profiles for children under 13. You are responsible for supervising any child using the app under your account.
Lessons 1–5 are available free of charge without an account. You can also access these lessons after creating an account. No payment is required to access the free tier.
Full access to MTHR TNG requires a paid subscription. We offer two plans:
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at support@mthrtng.com.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

All content within MTHR TNG — including lesson content, audio recordings made by our speakers, design, and code — is owned by MTHR TNG or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce any of it without our permission.
Recordings you make of your own voice remain yours. By making a recording within the app, you grant us a limited licence to store and play back that recording for your personal use within the app.
MTHR TNG is provided "as is". We make no guarantees about uninterrupted availability or the accuracy of language content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of MTHR TNG after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
